There is so much information on health among with physical education and nutrition. So many different opinions, ideas, views on what is the best way to do this or that, it can be so overwhelming , and, I totally get it why it is so hard for people to find something and mostly stick with it, not just for week but rather long term healthy habit. However, all of this information tends to lead to yoyo dieting, inconsistency with your nutrition and exercise and most of all 'losing mind over' what is good and what not for your body. Because you consistently follow and use the newest trends you saw from influencers, rather than following something aligned to your own specific goals and needs, but more importantly - something you can actually stick to (let's say something that can become part of your lifestyle, 'that primarily need' you will want to do on a daily basis :)
1. Do not follow the crowd
Just because something works for someone you follow on social media does not mean it is going to work for you or be something you would actually be able to get on board with. Just think about it. Life is not just about unicorns and flowers!!
2. Healthy nutrition is fundamental
First, you have to start enjoying food and get rid of all that 'shitty crap' from the cupboards and fridge - It all starts with that. Then learn about the real food from the market and give yourself opportunity to try something new and go out of your comfort zone. It is a fact that even healthy food can taste amazing and by saying that I promise you you will not need to stay in the kitchen for hours, preparing them!! Do never 100% restrict your food, but rather start enjoying to mix and match them around to reach that 'sustainable approach' to nutrition and your daily eating habits. Along with that comes desire to stick to it - and trust me, once you are there, you will never want to return. It is all a new era!! ;)
3. Coaching is the next step
Now that you have been trying out all sorts and could not (yet) reach your goal, I suggest you find a coach that you can resonate with from a to z (not just because they might look overly trained with perfect abs and defined body), but because they know how body work from the physical and cognitive (mental) perspective. (remember, body is a system of tools working together, not just one tool you operate with!!). You have to trust that person fully - if there is a trust there is a way to reach your life long result.
4. Trust the process
Have the patience to trust the process. Do not expect results overnight, sometimes it takes longer than that 12 or 16 weeks plan, for some months and even years. I have no magic wand, but want I do - I do have 100% believe in you and you support to guide you through hell from the beginning!! Understand that changing habits for better takes time - you therefore need to give yourself time to adapt, create new daily tasks and become consistent with it. And it can be anything - not just fitness or nutrition. You can start changing yourself by embracing your body. Whatever fills that missing puzzle. Remember there are no quick fixes, but rather changing habits for better which bring good results with it.
5. Personal coaching with me is option too
If you want to learn more about a sustainable approach to become a better version of yourself, get in touch today and we sure can discuss further over a cup of 'virtual coffee' ;)
And remember, do never just rely on results coming from the program itself. The results will come from you - from the amount of effort you put into it and manly what you learn from it.
Until next time, S.
