I am in love with black nail polish

Let's talk about the color 'black'

To me, it is the color of elegance and sophistication but also represents boldness and rebellion, right? :) Black is the color you would see most commonly worn in the corporate setting (apart from blue and grey, of course ;)), by rockstars, in goth culture, by rebels, and of course, in night parties (and to me that was quite whiiiile ago too). But let' get to the bottom line - color black screams classiness and style. But on nails? That for sure is another matter. Black was, until a few years ago, considered too bold and outrageous to be worn on the nails by an average woman and black nails were synonymous with darkness and depression (and in majority of the cases only flaunted by girls who were boho, or goth).

Black nails - the glam factor

Then, all of a sudden, we all woke up to the glam factor of black nails. I remember how I had experimented with this color on my nails, back in my university days, and I had completely hated it (it simply looked horrendous). But one fine day, years later, let's call it now ;) - my life changed. And I know for sure now, that this color can make you feel awesome, if worn with the right attitude. Yes, you heard that right - the right attitude. From that day, I have never looked back, and you can see me wearing black on my nails a lot.

Black on nails, however, might not be for everyone

Of course, not everyone can make this look work. You have to have a slightly edgy personality to be able to carry this bold look on your shoulders. But If you follow my tip, you don’t have a bit of a rebel hiding within you, wearing black polish can definitely bring that rebel out. It can make you feel all empowered, all dressed up, all proper and glamorous (even wearing sporty clothes with it - just make it work ;)). To me, black on my nails is a signature of confidence!

Meanwhile, you really can not go wrong with the color black, as it can be worn with any outfit, any color as well on any occasion. And yes, you should try it out ;)

Until next time, S.
