It may seem like everyone on social media is perfect, when we feel like we are not, right?But the honest truth is no one is perfect, and everyone has their own insecurities. Beside myself, no doubt. And the best I can do to you is to tell you why you should love your body - just the way it is. I do and you should too :* Why? Here are my reasons.
1. Your body is unique to you (and to many)
None of the other almost 8 billion people on the planet look quite like you (unless you're an identical twin!). So, by being you, you are literally one of a kind. Hear me - One of the kind!Being different to others is an amazing thing, and should be something you should be working on to embrace.
When it comes to being confident in your own skin, and embracing what makes you different. Try to remember the saying "No one is you and that is your power".
2. There is no such thing as a perfect body
Despite what we see on social media, online and in magazines - Again, nobody is perfect. Any image you see online or in a magazine is likely to have been edited, posed for or manipulated in some way. In other words, what you see isn't always real life. Think about it like this... no one walks around looking like they do with a Snapchat filter, do they? Get rid of the filters first and start looking yourself in the mirror as you are. Go natural and embrace the beauty of it! Way tooooo many fakes out there. Makes me sick to my stomach sometimes - yes it truly does!
Everyone has insecurities and that is totally ok. The only trick is to love yourself beside all!
3. As long as you're healthy, that's all that matters
As long as you're healthy that is ultimately all that matters. While your body is healthy try your best to never think of it as a problem, it is doing all it can to help keep you that way.
My advise here is to start eating healthy, exercise daily, listen to your inner voice, enjoy life as it it and, do things that empower you overall and mainly avoid negativity around - it does make wonders :).
4. Your body allows you to do lots of amazing things, respect that!
Think about everything your body allows you to do on a daily basis. This could be walking, breathing, digesting the food you eat, lifting heavy things, etc. These things may seem small, but they are vital in keeping you alive, happy and healthy. Do not take it for granted!
Beside keeping you healthy, allows you to work towards reaching amazing goals of yours - daily - here - now.
5. Your time is precious
What do I mean by that? Simply try not to worry about what and how you look like. This way you will have a lot more opportunity to enjoy every minute. If you find this difficult, try treating yourself with the same kindness you would treat others with. Next time you start putting yourself down, ask yourself what you would say to a friend if they were saying these things about themselves. Be your own kind of advisor. Speak to your inner self and agree to what body has to offer to you.
And remember - We are all in the 'same boat'.
