A structured morning routine will help you to ensure a positive start to the day. Beside, you should know by now that healthy habits improve your overall physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing and contribute to success. So, If you are looking to start your day off right, below are five healthy habits that I implement in your daily schedule ;)
1.Wake up and hour earlier
While getting up an hour earlier each day takes time to get accustomed to, it is well worth the adjustment, trust me. Beside research shows that individuals that wake up early are more optimistic and productive and can anticipate problems and minimize them more efficiently.
I like to wake up early, enjoy my cup of matcha tea and gather together all my thoughts, ideas and simply put my schedule 'on the table'.
2. Get Active
To me, morning workouts provide many health benefits. They help me get moving and ensure that my senses are up and running. Also, further research indicates that people are less likely to come up with excuses early in the morning and are more likely to exercise. ;).
3. Never skip breakfast
Breakfast is often referred to as 'the most important meal of the day,' and that statement is scientifically proven, sure is. A wholesome breakfast provides key nutrients that boost brain power and help the body perform at its best. It also increases satiety (the satisfied feeling of being full after eating) and helps decrease overeating throughout the day. Buon appetit!
4. Mentally prepare for the day ahead
Waking up early will (without a doubt) provide you with extra time in the morning to relax and be alone with your thoughts ( this os to me is really important). So, perhaps meditating is a great way to improve your focus, reduce stress, and improve your emotional stability. Just sit in quiet for few moments and visualise your day, life, thoughts, etc. Whatever puts you in a state of complete calm, It matters!
5. Last but not least - a cold shower before your day really start
A cold shower in the morning will surely help you wake up and improve your circulation. It will also help you breathe more deeply and boost your heart rate and immunity.
Healthy habits matter.
Make them real.
Make them part of your daily life.
Small wins ;), You got this!
Until next time, S.
