To be my best self. Yes.
'Self - discipline equals self - love. It is the commitment you make to yourself'
To me, it is a daily practice that silence my inner critic. And so, it should be yours too.
Life is too short to pity yourself and we all know that by now, right? ;) So, my advise to you is - to find that commitment to yourself. Find strength, and go along with thing that fulfil you!!
1. Commitment above all
This (to me) is the key to achieving self-improvement! Beside, self-discipline equals self-love. Try to remember this. However, I am not talking about self-discipline as punishment, ok?!
- Firstly I am talking about the pure definition of self-love. And having behaviour towards yourself that is loving. LOVING!
- And secondly, loving yourself enough to keep your promises to yourself (do not bull shit yourself around!!)
- Also, value yourself enough to delay instant gratification for longer-term benefit.
- And (to me - most importantly, long-term self-respect. Now this, to me, means being true to your higher self. T R U E T O Y O U R H I G H E R S E L F !!!
2. Get out of your comfort zone, daily
Yes and I mean it - every day! Choose things that are not in your best interest. Go figure, yes I am talking about self-discipline. To me, it is all about choosing the food and activities in my own best interest. And that is happening every day! Similarly walking away from the ones who aren’t. Every day. And trust me, it is never too late to start.
3. Self-discipline equals self-love
Do not believe me? start practising it, daily. And see what happens!!
This (to me), sure leads to self-respect and self-acceptance. Like finally finding 'the key and doorway' to authentic power and your best self!
4. You must feel confident
To feel confident overall about yourself is crucial. And, pause for a second and think about the example you are giving out?! Are you happy with it?! (what monkey sees, monkey do ;)). Tend to be the best example, to yourself and to all around you. Make it a habit!!
And remember, changes do start from within. Train your consciousness and make it a priority #1. Silence your inner critic.
