You must have heard the saying, ‘morning shows the day’. So, having a good morning is the right start to a day! And a glass of refreshing and healthy drink can be an ideal way to give that right start.
Rich in nutrients, healthy drinks can give your body an immunity boost and prove beneficial in healing multiple health issues.
So, I say, make a smart move by adding a healthy drink to your routine and give your day a great start. And my morning routine and my drinks are to hydrate my body after a good night sleep.
And if something, this, for sure is a game changer if you wish to feel good, and get the energy you need to start of the day. (there are some other drinks I like to add to my diet, but I will give them a separate post ;)).
1. Glass of hot water
Drinking a glass of hot water on an empty stomach can kickstart your metabolism and aid in digestion. The warmth of the water helps to stimulate the digestive organs and prepare them for the day's tasks. It can also help in breaking down food particles more effectively, ensuring optimal nutrient absorption.
2. Cup of herbal tea
If you are wondering whether morning tea is good or bad, you’d be delighted to know that sipping on herbal tea in the morning works wonders for your wellness.
- It will sure give you an energy boost
- it will help stabilise free radicals
- it will help you maintain weight
- it will help and keep you stress-free
- it will reduce intestinal inflammation
3. My mix of MSM powder, glutamine and creatine
This one, to me, since I perform daily workouts is a must.
- MSM powder
Research shows that it may be helpful in reducing joint pain, lowering inflammation, improving skin health, decreasing allergy symptoms and speeding recovery after exercise. And I can only support the thesis as I am not experiencing any of the issues mentioned so far. I'll just keep my fingers crossed ;). Additionally, some evidence suggests that MSM can as well boost the immune system and may have cancer-fighting properties (which is good too as we run cancer in the family).
- Glutamine
Glutamine is an amino acid that may benefit the body when it is under a period of great physical stress (definitely something you must add to your diet if exercising). Just don't go over with dosage as the body tend to produce glutamine itself too, beside you get in in the body via proper eating habits and diet.
- Creatine
Creatine helps me improve my performance while exercising as well helps me recover faster after an intense workouts. Beside, it reduces dehydration and cramping. If you exercise daily or at least 3-5 days a week you should consider that too.
4. Matcha latte
I no longer drink coffee and this is the best decision I have ever make. If you miss your caffeine boost, this sure is something to go for. Beside it has so many benefits. OMG. But I'll write about matcha separately in some other blog post.
If you have any experiences with your best essential drinks in the morning. I would love to hear it.And remember, love yourself and your body first, the rest will follow.
Until next time, S.
