Truths you need to understand on your 'journey to fit'

Today I will share some things you do need to understand if you wish to succeed on your journey. And let me tell you, it's sure not always easy - It does take a lot of effort, correct mindset but above all to understand what is going on.

I know how aggressive social media these days can be and trust me, there is a lot of (bull shit), let's say bad information out there. So, it is up to you to become more selective of things they work for you. Be wise.

In my opinion, there are many factors to make it all happen, so let's have a look.

- Cardio is not necessary for fat loss.

- Weightlifting will trump cardio for fat loss.

- Lifting heavy weights does wonders. You will look hot and toned. And I am sure this is something you are seeking right now, no.?

- More training does not necessarily mean more muscles. To me, it's all about quality over quantity.

- If you can still talk during your rest periods, then lift heavy. It's as simple as that.

- Fat loss is deducted by your nutrition (so think and pause what stocks your fridge?!).

- Carbs will not make you fat (and you do need them for energy). Take care of not to consuming to much carbs and you are good to go (smart food choices above all).

- If your diet sucks, you will never get to end point you wish.

- Eating healthy is the the key.

Healthy habits

- Make healthy habits your lifestyle.

- Never measure yourself on scale (this clearly is not your best way to measure progress. You know better).

- Quality sleep is crucial.

- Be active at all times (do never expect to lose weight and maintain weight by staying sedentary).

- For additional fat loss, put your body in a calorie deficit. (simply eat less).

- If you can't maintain your fat loss (body composition) look at your diet again.

- If you maintain your weight, that does not mean you reached your lowest weight. Set goals of what you wish first. Only a good plan will get you there.

- Gaining weight is not always a bad thing.

- Weight gain/ weight loss does not equal fat gain / fat loss.

- Muscles are built with food not dieting. If you are not eating enough, all your work isn't worth it.

- When building muscles your weight is going to increase. Do not get fulled.

- There is always room for an improvement. Start light and slowly improve to be better each day.

- Get strong so you can take a good care of yourself when you age ;)

- Now this one - be prepared to long term journey. Results are not going to happen overnight. Think of years not months. Yes,I say this from my own experience.

Last but not least,

'if you don't ever quit, you have never failed.'

Now ask yourself what are your fitness goals? Make a plan, stick to it and be awesome.

Let me know if any of those above resonate with your personal fitness journey.

Until next time, S.
